- Have you ever wondered how people "Stitch" two or more images together to make it one picture? Well help is here and it is really
easy to do.
- Using Windows, go to Start, Program Files, Accessories, Paint. It is this Program that we will be using, make a shortcut to have it on your desktop by right clicking on the Paint icon, select "send to desktop as a shortcut".
- You will see that the white screen doesn't cover the whole page, take your mouse and in the lower right hand corner of the white screen, you will see your pointer turn to a diagonal two headed arrow. Click on that and while holding it down, drag it to the right and down. See the screen get bigger?
- If your paint program does not fill your screen, click on the middle box in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
- It is best to have your images sized as close as you can to be the same pixel size. If you are going to stitch side by side, 300pixels wide, if you are going to stack them, 600 pixels should work as the maximum sizes. They can be stored any where in your computer or on a disk.
- If you will download this free, small, and very easy to use program called IrfanView.
- Now the fun part, in Paint, click on EDIT, then on Paste From.
- From the drop down window, make sure that the Files Of Type is set to All Files. Then locate the files where you have your images stored. Double Click on the one that you want, it will now be on your paint screen with a broken line around it. Just click anywhere on the white screen and it will disappear. Now do it again, click on EDIT, then on Paste From,Then double click on the image that you want.
- Now the second one will be on your Paint screen covering up the first one. Just place your Cursor in the middle of the image, hold it down and drag the image to where you want it. just let go of your mouse and you are almost done.
- Now go to File, SAVE AS, and make sure to change the name, just add a 2 at the end of it, then save it and you are done.
- This seems like a lot but once you have paint set up, it is fast and easy, have FUN.
