Errors
- The first two letters are error group
- SD was supposed to be server side error. but we have found it can be almost anything that gets in the way of the member's connection to the server, including some pop up stoppers, ad busters, firewalls, and a few bugs
- FC mean file content was corrupted
- FF means file format not supported
- ME is miscellaneous error (meaning no clue)
- SS is super size error (None of the images selected qualify for super size)
- SE is super size empty error (No images in the wells, super size is checked)
- GF and TF are gif and tif error. that mean they member tried to load a tif or gif file using enhanced on an international site
can't do that due to patent reasons
but they can use basic. core eBay is not affected by that restriction
- If the first two letters are followed by a FB, the member is using enhanced
- If the FB is absent, the member is using basic
- The 3 numbers that follow that are intended to pin down the point at which the error occurred
- The only ones that are applicable to member is the SD group numbers
- 001 and 003 are connection related always
- Either the servers are down, or the connection we prevented or stopped.
- If absolutely no connection is made at ALL to our MSA (back end servers that do the work) then those errors will appear in the child Picture Loading popup window in both basic and enhanced. That could be that our servers are down (then everyone would get it) or that something like ab busting software is preventing a connection from ever being made

what we know bout third party software is, Zone Alarm Pro think image have private headers (they do NOT) so it strips them out -- causing error SD017 or SDFB017 (solution is to go into the Zone Alarm Pro settings -> Privacy -> Cookie Control menu and unchecking the "Remove private header information" check box.
- Norton's internet security 2002 (NOT 2003) often gets SDFB or SD errors. running live update multiple times rebooting after each solves that usually (unless the member has another prob too)
AdSubtract causes SD and SDFB errors -- solution, turn it off. it thinks the JS file that runs EPS is an ad -- it isn't
- same with many popup blockers and other ad busting software
AND, ad busting features in other software. for instance, Norton's internet security 2003 has an ad blocking feature. when it is on, you get SD or SDFB errors -- it also thinks the JS file is an ad. that setting must be disabled for the upload to go through
- and that is the sum total of what we know about error handling so far
