Batch Conversions Using Irfanview
Thanks To Alan from support@ranchoweb.com

  • Copy all the images you'd like to resize in one folder.

  • Go to File Batch Conversion/Rename.

  • Choose your image folder in the "Look in" menu at the top of the Batch Conversion window

  • Select the files you want to convert by clicking their names. For a large range of files: click the first name, move the mouse to the last file in the group, hold down the Shift key and click. To choose individual files, hold down the Ctrl key and click each name.

  • Press "Add" from the button menu to the left

  • Press "Use this directory as output" (or Browse for a different directory if you'd prefer to not replace the images)

  • "Work as" should be set as "Batch Conversion"

  • Output format should be "JPG - JPEG Format"

  • Click "Options" next to "Output Format", and set Save Quality as 50, and save as "Progressive JPG"

  • Click "Use Advanced Options" checkbox

  • Click "Set Advanced Options" button and turn "RESIZE" on.

  • Set "Width" as 350 pixels, or whatever size you'd prefer.
  • Click "OK"

  • Finally, click "Start" (the top button on the lefthand button menu.

  • Once you've set up the batch the first time, it is very easy to do it repeatedly - just choose a new folder, press "add" and then hit "start".

  • Batch processing saves so much time!
